1) David desires to build God a house:
V.1-7.
V.8-11
2) God will make a house for David:
V.12-17
3) David sits down V.18: This is the best thing David could do in response to God’s word. V. 18-29 David sits down and simply thanks God.
One of the most powerful things we can do as believers is to sit, rest and thank God.
4) This covenant God makes with David is all about Jesus. Luke 1:32, 33

2 Sam.7:10-11
Jesus has planted us that we may dwell with him.
Jesus has made it that no violence shall afflict us
Jesus is giving us rest from all our enemies.
Jesus is making us a house.
