People who are sincerely wrong, do not get a pass from God
Romans 10:1-3 Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.
Sometimes the Fear of God leads to Worship
2 Sam. 6:12-15 So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. When those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might,while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
2 Sam. 6:21-22 David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord… I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this
Others have worshiped better because of my example
David led in worship from his heart
1 Cor. 14:23 Therefore if the whole church assembles together and all speak in tongues, and the ungifted or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are mad
Lead others in worship as you lead from your heart
Unthoughtful worship distracts rather than lead
1 Thess. 5: Do not quench the Spirit.
God let my free authentic worship lead others to do the same
