“Trials and Errors”

Words are disproportionate in effect

Our words are set on fire by hell

Ask to understand

If you can change your circumstance, do something

If you can’t change your circumstances, change your perspective

Spiritual Discipline of Attentiveness

Be Courageous

Truth and Grace Face to Face

Only a fire can light a fire

Words are disproportionate in effect

Negativity is easy

Words do more than inform. Words also motivate/de-motivate

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

EPH 4:29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit

those who listen.

Encouragement: taking the initiative to build-up/inspire a brother/sister

Heb. 10:24-25 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Care about the growth of others

God give me eyes to see, what you are building in others

Acts 9:26-28 When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus. So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.
