Mark 1:32-34 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons
Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
Jesus healed because he had compassion
Matt. 14:14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
Jesus healed to fulfill Messianic prophecy
Matt. 11:4-5 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.
Jesus healed as a sign

Jesus life was about winning the spiritually lost

James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord
Ps. 103:2-5 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Some in the Bible were not healed
1 Timothy 5:23 No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.
Now and Not Yet
Romans 8:22-23 For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us.
Every healing on earth is temporary at best
Ask for the now/ Praise Him in the not yet
Same Spirit who healed through Jesus is in us
Mark 5:34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

The foretaste will become face to face
